Easter Visit

It's been a while since I gave any news, so I'll try a quick update. I'm waiting at the airport for Mom and Dad to arrive from South Carolina. They will be here until Monday and the boys are ready to see them again! I've been telling them all week that grandma and grandpa are coming to see them for their first Easter.

Jack and Luke are doing great. They go to the hospital Friday morning for a routine checkup at the high-risk newborn clinic. Luke has been off his oxygen for most of the last week. We keep his pulse-ox monitor on when he sleeps, but he has had no problems. Hopefully they will let us get rid of the oxygen after this week.

Last I remember, Jack is just under 13 lbs and Luke is around 7.5 lbs - they just got their last RSV shots yesterday and were weighed, but I don't remember what they were. Rachel can do the update next time and make sure the info is correct.

It should be a fun weekend - looks like the weather will be great. Saturday morning we plan to go to an Easter egg hunt that the church has at a city park. We'll go to church and have a big Easter dinner with Rachel's family.

Hope to have some good pictures to share next week!

A Look Into The Future

I found this picture online and could not believe how similar these twins are to Jack and Luke! This is probably how they will look by the end of the summer:

Not Much New

Not much new around here. The boys are doing well and continuing to grow. Last week they had their second round of newborn shots and had fevers for a couple days. Also passed around a runny nose and congestion - Jack started early last week, Luke picked it up around Thursday and by Saturday I had it. Hope it steers clear of Rachel. Here are a few pictures from last week:

Luke always gets serious when the camera comes out

"What are you looking at?"

After a minute or two, Jack gets happy so we can capture a smile

Jack's First Try At Solid Food

A few new pictures:

Jack is starting to enjoy being in his swing

One night the boys were both cranky and we put them to bed early. Since Luke had not just finished eating, we gave him a break from his wedge and let him sleep in the bassinet.

It was a new experience, but he fell right asleep and did well until feeding time

One day Jack was in a terrible mood and would not take a bottle. Although it's very early, Rachel decided to let him try some rice cereal.

Took him a while to figure out how to swallow it, but he did get some down
